Short and ... Intellectual?

This is a short introduction to a few important ideas in interpersonal psychology. I'm not knowledgeable enough to know how many of these concepts originate with Laing. Some of the important concepts that appear, here, I've heard from other authors. Either way, this might be a good book for people who are just beginning to learn about psychology, because Laing seems to touch on several important ideas. The book whet my appetite, and I'm eager to learn more.
Laing is, perhaps, a little too enthusiastic about tracing projections and re-projections through his prose, here. I thought he belabored it, possibly making it more confusing than need be. But that is the only quibble that jumps to mind. The text gave me the impression that Laing found some delight in the mathematical unfolding of it all. In retrospect, Laing's attempt to explain the concept of projection, and other "-jections", might seem somewhat opaque to persons unfamiliar with modern/abstract algebra.
The edition of the book I received is approximately 64 pages. Yay. Brevity! I wish I'd stumbled upon Laing sooner. His insights would have spared me years of consternation.

This book was difficult to understand. I concede this evaluation just reveals my lack of capacity. I will need to read it again. His description of how psychological rules are formed and how they are unconscious was difficult to follow. However, I agree with Dr. Laing that some of the rules formed in families are very negative.
