This is an awesome book with great detail. Very helpful for understanding how and why trigger points develop. Each section on muscles have many segments, including perpetuation and cause. Very helpful for anyone dealing with or treating trigger points.

SERIOUSLY YOU ARE RIPPING YOUR READERS OFF.... �2�00 FOR A BOOK OF 59 PAGES..... UTTERLY DISGUSTED AT HOW YOU ARE DRAGGING THIS SERIES OUT TO ROB YOUR READERS. WHY ARE YOU NOT JUST PUTTING SOME EFFORT INTO THIS AND FINISHING IT IN THE FOURTH BOOK, GIVING US A PROPER BOOK, NOT JUST ENOUGH PAGES THAT WOULD FILL A COUPLE OF CHAPTERS BY ANY OTHER AUTHORS THAT DON'T ROB THEIR CUSTOMERS BLIND. ITS TOO MUCH MONEY FOR THE BOOK FOR SO FEW PAGES. THERE ARE BOOKS THAT ARE FREE OR CHEAPER THAT ARE BETTER BOOKS AND A FULL BOOK WITH ENOUGH PAGES TO KEEP READERS HAPPY.

AS FOR THE BOOK, AGAIN IT RECAPPED ALOT FROM THE OTHER BOOTS. NATHAN WAS IN THE WHOLE BOOK BUT AGAIN 70% OF THE BOOK WAS A RECAP OF HOW SHE WAS FEELING/THINKING WHICH WE ALREADY GOT FROM THE OTHER BOOKS, NOT ENOUGH INTERACTION BETWEEN THE TWO MAIN CHARACTERS. U START GETTING SOMETHING FROM THE BOOK THEN IT FRIGGIN ENDS..... SERIOUSLY ANOTHER BOOK. THE FOUR BOOKS TOGETHER DON'T EVEN MAKE A FULL NOVEL YET

Three childlike frogs spend their days bickering and baiting each other: it's mine, claims one about the water. Another purports ownership of the earthor a wormor a butterflyor whatever. It isn't until disaster almost stikes and they are saved by a toad that Milton, Rupert and Lydia realize that private ownership isn't that important. Whether grumbling for the sake of being difficult or dancing with delight, Lionni's frogs spring to life. Collages of marbled-textured paper, all in cool, crisp, spring-like colors against a stark white background, are a perfect match for this story of selfishness on the pond, carried out in beautifully simple line and language. Leo Lionni's books are all cute and fun to read. We bought this book because our child was given the stuffed frog when he was in the hospital. I'm a sucker for books that have character stuffed animals to hold while we're reading the book.

A story about sharing.

Bicker Bicker Bicker. That's what these three frogs do all day long. It's mine, it's mine, it's mine! Tragedy strikes and an old toad saves the day. The three frogs seem to grow up without even realizing it! An ideal read-aloud.

LIONNI GIVES US ANOTHER IMPORTANT LIFE LESSON WITH THIS ONE

Leo Lionni has created another wonderful little lesson with this parable like story, "It's mine. His insight to human behavior and his ability to reduce very complicated problems down to a level that a small child can easily understand is one of his strongest, one of many, skills and he certainly kept true to his form with this little offering.

We have three little frogs, Milton, Rupert, and Lydia who live on a wonderful little island covered with ferns and smooth pebbles in the middle of Rainbow Pond. There are bugs to eat, sunshine to enjoy and a rather carefree life. All is well...or is it? Well, I have to report, and am sorry to do so, that all was not well because the three little frogs actually spent most of their days being quarrelsome and bickering, bickering and bickering. They did not want to share the nice pond, the island or even the nice fresh air.

One day a large toad showed up from the other side of the island and informed them that they were disturbing the peace of there entire little world, including his and that they must stop their fighting and arguing at once. Of course little frogs being what they are paid the toad no heed.

One day a storm came up. There was much rain and the water rose. The island slowly began sinking into the murky waters. The little frogs are losing it all; they are seemingly doomed! Their little world and possibly their lives were vanishing. Is there nothing that can save them?

Well of course there was, and through their being jerked from the jaws of disaster the learned that their little world was a very nice place indeed and that their constant arguing and attitude of mine, mine, mine was rather counter productive to a nice peaceful life.

The book is well illustrated with typical Lionni illustrations which anyone who is familiar with this author's work will know are very, very good. The text is simple and perfect for either the preschooler or first grader. It is a good beginning readier and an excellent group read where good lessons in life can be learned. Actually, we adults can learn from it too.

Kids will need just glue, paper, cardboard, and Popsicle sticks, though a few projects require a drill and utility knife. Great ideas for crafty kids

I got this book for my daughters for X-mas because they got a hamster, their first pet. They are very crafty and I thought they might enjoy making something for their new hammy. This book is pretty simple (my daughters are 8) they made the hamster swing with a little help from me in gluing. You can adapt some of the steps in the directions but the ideas are super cute. It's a little pricey though, but it made a nice gift for crafty kids.I anticipate they will have fun making more of the "toys" in this book for Mr. Wood Shavings.

About the Author
Gabor Takacs is a professor and was head of the Petroleum Engineering Department at the University of Miskolc, Hungary from 1995 to 2012. He has more than 35 years of teaching and consulting experience in the production engineering field. He was acting director of the Petroleum Engineering program at The Petroleum Institute in Abu Dhabi, UAE from 2007 to 2010, and taught at Texas Tech University from 1988 to 1989. He is also currently a technical editor for an oil and gas journal, and received the Society of Petroleum Engineers Distinguished Lecturer award for 1995-96. Gabor regularly teaches short courses internationally and is a well-known consultant and instructor on production engineering and artificial lift topics. Gabor earned an MS and PhD degree in petroleum engineering, both from the University of Miskolc.

Another absorbing tale from the author of "Of Moths and Butterflies"

Twists and turns abound in this beautifully told, complex story that takes place in the later years of the nineteenth century. The Crawfords of Holdaway Hall make an offer to a young lady, Abbie, an offer that is more than simple courtesy and care: they have something in mind, something that concerns her. This is the secret of "Cry of the Peacock." What is Ruskin's motive when he asks for Abbie's hand in marriage? A marriage, which, if it takes place, would be well beneath his station? Why does Abbie's Aunt Newhaven despise the Crawfords so much? Into this strange tableau of Ruskin asking for the overseer's daughter's hand comes the two younger Crawford brothers, David and James. Their father has not confided in them: neither understands why their brother is trying to win the heart of this common lowborn woman and they don't believe love has won him over.

Both set out to discover the truth, and both are inclined to think Abbie a gold digger. For her own part, Abbie doesn't understand Ruskin's motives either, but the pressure put upon her to accept his offer is tremendous, from everyone except her aunt. Her instincts warn her that something isn't right and she hardly knows Ruskin, but cold hard commonsense fails her when it comes to another young man.

From page one, "Cry of the Peacock" is a mystery, a journey of discovery, a peeling of the onion down to its core of truth. I found it deeply compelling, a character-driven story with a flavor reminiscent of "Pride and Prejudice." Having read the author's debut novel, "Of Moths and Butterflies," I was looking forward to a new set of well-drawn protagonists and first-rate dialogue, and I wasn't disappointed. Christensen's selfish, sometimes cruel men, especially, are so well done that one wants to throttle them. Lighthearted scenes are juxtaposed with dark drama, and carry the reader through to a satisfying end. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

An engrossing tale

Cry of the Peacock is an engrossing tale of redemption, sacrifice, honour, and betrayal. Set in the late 1800's, it is the story of Arabella Gray, a young woman of humble means who finds herself thrust into a life of privilege as the recipient of the Crawford family's benevolence. But not all is as it seems and Abbie soon finds herself having to consider compromising what she values most for a life she never imagined.

This is the first book I have read from this author and it certainly will not be the last. I thoroughly enjoyed her writing style and the subtle manner in which she developed her characters and plot. I found myself unable to put the book down and read it in just a couple of days. I plan to read it again soon but next time I will take my time with it.

It really was refreshing to read an Austen type novel that did not feel forced or rushed. The story was original and the ending, a perfect conclusion to this beautifully written love story. I highly recommend it.

BORED TO TEARS

I have to say I always review with the words you can't buck the majority of the readers, but this one just made me want to scream. I was unable after six days of off and on trying to wade through it. I made it through 56 % and the story line was so incredibly bored that I just couldn't go on.

I really wanted to like this story but it was SO SLOW and plodding the theme of Arabella being so grateful for every little crumb thrown her way but unscrupulous people who had only their own interests at heart made me want to scream. It kept repeating this theme over and over. Everyone was so concerned with their image and the perceptions of the ton and yet no one seemed concerned with what they were doing to Arabella by cheating her out of her inheritance and her choices in the matter of her life.

I finally just gave it up as a bad project and archived the story. I have to say that I must have been reading something that the 5 star readers weren't or my expectations were higher, because this one just about bored me to death.

This book provides an exceptional understanding of the development of castles and fortified town. It is a little "old school" in that it features illustration rather than photos but the illustrations are both clear and accurate. I have been to a few of these places and can say that nothing suffers because there are illustrations. This book will give you a good grounding in development and importance of military architecture and fortifications building but would also be a good guide for planning a castle viewing trip.

A management scientist, he lectures for the UCLA Executive Education and M.B.A. programs, and for other leading business schools throughout the country. His expertise is sought by numerous Fortune 500 companies (IBM, AT&T, ARCO, Control Data, TRW, Warner-Lambert, to name just a few), government agencies, mental-health professionals, hospitals, parent groups, professional educators, and professional organizations such as the Young Presidents' Organization.

Dr. Weisinger's first book (co-authored by Norman M. Lobsenz), Nobody's Perfect, was a New York Times hardcover best seller and is now a Warner paperback. His article for The Wall Street Journal, "So You're Afraid," was selected as one of the sixty best articles ever to appear in the Journal's "Manager's Column" and is reprinted in The Wall Street Manager's Column, published by Dow Jones. Dr. Weisinger is also a frequent guest on national television and radio shows.

An innovator in mental-health treatment, Dr. Weisinger maintains a clinical practice as a consultant to A Touch of Care, a residential treatment facility that is an alternative to hospitalization for emotionally disturbed people.

Dr. Weisinger and his wife, Lorie, live in Santa Monica, California. They have a daughter, Briana, and two dogs, Mazel and Shovi.

A little dated and a little cheesy

While I do have this book in my collection it is not typically the primary one I utilize when working with anger management. I find this book to have good information and the fact that it is in workbook format lends itself well to weekly therapy sessions. However, I do feel that there are many other books out there that do the same job much better. Finally the concept of a "work out" is a good idea but pretty cheesy. On the rare occasion I utilize this book with a client I almost always lead with a disclaimer of "I know it's corny but work with the information not the corny concept".

Great Resource!!

This book has helped me find different ways in order to deal with my anger issues from life. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone who deals with anger, whether it be on a daily basis or every once in awhile. The book does not have to be read from front to back. Each chapter deals with something different.
